Green Zabiha Mountain Range Certified Organic Mutton!

Mutton is traditionally lamb that is over 2 years old, it is a richer more strongly flavorful meat that is gaining popularity, especially in Europe, and is now seeing more interest in the US. Mutton is in many parts of the world more common than lamb, as lamb is seasonal while mutton is year round and generally less expensive as well.

We've partnered with a cooperative of ranchers who raise their mutton in a way very few still do. Certified organic mutton raised traditionally on mountain forage, these mutton live their life like their wild ancestors feasting on wild forage, clover and grass.

The sheep are beyond free range and beyond pastured. They are raised in the mountain ranges, grazing over thousands of acres of certified organic pesticide free ranges. They live a life that closely resembles their wild ancestors, with shepherds following them through the year following the herds on horseback up and down the mountain.
